About the Event

The Carolinas Golf Course Superintendents Association Conference and Trade Show is one of the largest annual gatherings for turf professionals in the Southeast. Held each November, the event brings together superintendents, assistants, vendors, and industry experts from across North and South Carolina for several days of education sessions and an exhibit floor featuring the latest products and services in the industry.

The Smoking Turf Booth

Our booth featured the full Smoking Turf branding, including our custom coffin display, illuminated skull logo, and event materials highlighting our fumigation services. Attendees stopped by throughout the show to learn about our process, ask questions about treatment options, and discuss specific challenges they are facing on their courses. You can read more about our background and team on our About page.

Pit Boss Pellet Smoker Giveaway

To help drive traffic to the booth and thank attendees for stopping by, we hosted a giveaway for a Pit Boss Pellet Smoker. Entries were collected throughout the show, and the winner was drawn at the conclusion of the event. Congratulations to our winner, and thank you to everyone who participated.

Meeting with Superintendents

The main reason for attending the show was to connect directly with superintendents and discuss how soil fumigation can address common issues on golf courses, including nematode pressure, disease recurrence, and declining turf quality on greens and fairways. Many of the conversations focused on project planning, timing, and what to expect during and after a treatment. For a deeper look at greens renovations specifically, see our post on fumigating greens with Basamid G. Looking Ahead

We appreciated the opportunity to be part of the Carolinas GCSA show this year and plan to return in 2026. If you visited our booth or would like to follow up on a conversation from the event, you can reach us through our Contact page.
